Viewing Review

WOW!!!!
Talk about turnout!!! This past Friday night, (December 1, 2006) over 100 people showed up at the UMB SSW to watch a free screening of Al Gore's acclaimed documentary "An Inconvenient Truth". Before the movie though, we were given a special treat with speeches by Sam Hopkins of the Environmental Group CCAN (Chesapeake Climate Action Network), CURB's own Jen Will, who talked about what a bottle bill is and Delegate-Elect Todd Schuller (8th Legislative District) who will be sponsoring the bill in the Maryland House of Delegates come this January. Delegate-elect Schuller talked a little about the bottle bill and his plans for it in the General Assembly. After the movie, there was a Q and A session while everybody participated in free refreshments. Many of you wrote letters to your legislators urging them to pass the Bottle Bill when it is introduced this January. Just remember...this is only the beginning. We will be only being more active from here on in as the session grows closer and we urge everybody to get involved, make a difference and have a little fun with CURB. Email us and watch this spot for more information, postings from attendees of the event and pictures from the screening.
Thanks!
